PRO 1
Gun manufacturers should be required to provide a safety lock with every handgun they sell. This alone could save hundreds of kids a year from accidental death.
FACT 2
The firearm industry already supported this idea and was doing this on their own.
PRO 3
There should be a law requiring a trigger lock on all guns that kids under a certain age, like 16, can access.
CON 3.1
One use of guns is to protect the owner and the kids, a trigger lock could delay the guns ability to be of use for self defense.
