Hopefully this link will last a while. Its from nytimes.com and its an article about a teacher who was unknowingly recorded by a student while talking about various religious topics.

I'm sorry, which legal document did you get the term "separation of church and state" from?  Or, better yet, how is this a religious debate?  Or are you considering atheism a religion?  I'm confused why you're posting this in this forum.

I realize there are varying interpretations of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, as far as separation of church and state, but I think most people would agree that this teacher crossed the line. Did you listen to the audio?

I never mentioned atheism, and I’m pretty sure the article doesn’t either.  I guess your assuming the high school kid is an atheist? Who knows.

You may not have noticed but “Separation of Church and State” is specifically listed as a subtopic for the Religion forum.  That is why I posted this topic here.

By the way, you seem pretty upset...I didn’t mean to confuse you, I was just trying to start a debate about the article and the audio that was recorded.

I'm not upset, I'm just asking questions.  Since you posted this in another forum, I was just trying to figure out why you were spamming it.  Still trying to find the document you mentione, oh wait, you didn't, nevermind... Also, haven't seen too many Christian's complaining about teacher's teaching against evolution, so it just stood to reason.  And honestly, I can't think of any reason why "separation of church and state" should be in the religious forums (hadn't noticed it was a subtopic)... always thought it was a political topic.  Guess it should of been posted here and not in the other forum.

Spam implies the content is undesired and spread in bulk. This was relevant material for both (2) forums.

Oh, gosh, your sarcasm is so hilarious... oh wait, nevermind. I mentioned the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Okay...now explain to all of us why these are not legal documents.

Also, I'm a Christian complaining about teachers teaching against evolution.

"Separation of Church and State," Church has to do with religion and State has to do with politics. Was that so hard to see???

Anyway, it appears the link is no longer good (at least for me). So, your objection is noted and you can stop worrying about my "complaining" (on this subject at least).

There are some bullies in this forum, eh??

Shame, as it scares people with legitimate and fair questions away when you are so sarcastic and dismissive. Maybe that's why the title 'fanatic' is used??

Separation of Church and State does not specifically mean the Church shouldnt get involved in politics, there is no line in the constitution saying that the church should be separate from the government.

What the separation means is government not interfering with the church.
