I recently had a conversation with a Muslim and we were arguing about religion. I doubt he had a Bible (I have the Bible and the Qur'an) because he asked why Christians have a new Bible every week. He said Christians get a new Bible every single week, and asked how that could be. I told him he was probably getting confused with things like sunday school books, but he really didn't want to believe that. He also thought that Christians had three Gods.

Then there's stuff like what happened in Israel... Palestinians saying Jews required blood for certain religious observances or something. Then there's all the misinformation among children...

Do you think there's anything we can do that would be effective to combat misinformation among Muslims about Christianity & Judaism? I certainly can't think of something.

Most of that stuff is just misinformation and old prejudices, but the 3 Gods comment is semi-legit. I know alot of people who have trouble reconciling the "Father/Son/Holy spirit" thing with a monotheism. It certainly seems tritheistic, at first glance anyway.

someone explained the father/son/holyspirit thing to me in an interesting way. he compared it to a three-leaf clover. there are three separate parts, but essentially they are all one

Sure... but also don't jews and christians need to learn the misinformations about other religion to? And before all that, how about different parts of the same religion learning their misinformations...

I can't help but find that comment a bit one sided... maybe even as far as a little bigoted.

We don't have people telling us Muslims are evil because of this that and the other thing, do we? We aren't taught to hate and kill them, are we?

We as Christians are to expose the lies of the enemy, but we need to understand that Christ died for each and every individual. I believe that the majority of things Pat Robertson said can be verified and are factual. This does not mean that he always has the best approach, seeing is he is a fallable man. I actually had an opportunity to minister to a muslim on a plane trip a little while ago. The approach Christ would have you take is one of love and patience, but never comprimise. Christ will lead us the more we seek His presence.

I'm merely saying that many conservative leaders are just as bad as the problems you quoted.

Ben, can you give one argument, just one, that isn't centered on what you and christ have/would have done? please?
