If there is a "loving" and "merciful" God, why does He allow horrible things to innocent children, such as molestation?

God created man... man screwed up... The molestations and such are our fault. Dont blame God for this stuff. Through adam, all died. You and I are sinners, along with everybody else. These perverts who do these terrible things will all get exactly what they deserve. These children are very dear to God, He loves them more than you can fathom. But the fact that children are molested, people are murdered, wifes are beaten... That is our fault... If you would like to see children saved, and people spared.. Why dont you try praying and making a change in the way this world is. I think when we all stand to be judged, You will see what these perverts are rewarded with.

The Beauty of God's creation according to christian belief (or at least most christians) is that people have the freedom of choice. God wanted willing worshipers, not mindless robots. Certainly either would have been within his power to create, but when things happen it's because a person chose to do it. And those people are certainly justly punished, on their day.

I've got a question, If there isn't a god. Then how do you know that's wrong to molest a child? If there is no God, and we came from ape-like animal ancestors... then it's perfectly fine to hurt a young child? I agree with the previous postings. Gods heart breaks to see us act the way we do. We've all got freedom to do as we please, dont blame God when some abuse that freedom.

Ok heres a conundrum for you;

1.God has a supposed "devine UNCHANGING plan".
2.If the plan cannot change then every thing we do is pre-determined.
3.If we can't change our course of action we have no free-will.

This also works into the fact that if god is ominesent that he knew that all of this would happen, therefore god wants; non-belivers,voilence,hate,death,war,strife,hunger,greed,famine,ect. to exist

God didn't create us like puppets, God created us so that we can make our own choices and when Adam sinned in the garden of Edan, it caused things like that to happen. Its isn't gods fault that that happens but it is our fault

First of all i am a christian but i do not agree. IN the bible it says that two sinners were cruxified with God but one of them admitted their sins and said they believed. It was then that Jesus said today you will be with me in paradise. God does not want death and all that stuff, no that stuff happened because of the fact that adam sinned.
       Also God DOES NOT control what we do, no he just KNOWS what we do. But since god did not make us puppets he can't force us to change our actions, even if they are terrible actions.
