I see a lot in these forums about how terrible Christians are and whatnot. I would like to clear some of these things up, if a logical person who is educated cannot figure it out on their own. One of the main accusations is murder, the violence and other atrocities that have been committed in the 'Name of God'. First of all, anyone who commits these acts cannot call themselves a Christian. The Bible clearly states "thou shalt not kill'. Therefore, the violence that has been committed by people professing the name of God is not, in fact, justifiable by or a true representation of Christianity, since God Himself commands the opposite. It is, in fact, the evidence of man's disobedience and inability to accept that God is all-powerful, since man continually refuses to trust God and instead takes the salavtion of mankind into their own hands. Also, if the user running around by the name of 'Blasphemy' is still active, I have a few points I would like to make to you!

Christians have a bad name because they believe they see the truth in a lie. Humanity invented the idea of god and the story of Christ. How can anybody be foolish enough to allow themselves  to be deceived by Christianity, or any other religion?

Yep. jesus hasn't had the time to come and show up to me... and I have been far too busy. If, when I die he is there I will be pleasantly surprised and we will have a beer.
I am a skeptic more than an atheist... I really don't know what I am!
However, I am enlightened enough to not follow the flock and recite other peoples faith... and to me that's what religion is... Other people's faith.
It is ironic that Jesus is described as the good shepherd... his followers ARE sheep and have about as much ability of being autonic

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
