Do you think technology advancing is a good thing or bad? I think its a bad thing. The invenion of the nucleor bombs certainly werent a good thing. And it seems that instead of living according ti nature like we were intended we are always using machines.

anywayz do u think technology is good or bad?

It depends upon how its used. You can make a nuclear reactor to power homes, or you can make a bomb. More tech says me!!

i feel technology, in general is good, but our dependence on it is very bad.  the fact that many americans woulnt know what to do if we lost power for like 2 weeks disturbs me.

Technology also makes us more lazy. sooner or later people wont have to do anything but push a button.

as much as i love technology...this one is tough... i was thinking about the last post: sooner or later people wont have to do anything but push a button. then what fun is life? we are born to live, and i would hardly call it living if all we do is command computers to live for us.

that is sad.  but true for many people.

between me and my parents, we have enough food and water for about a month, generator and enough fuel to last a month, to run the nesseccities like fridge, freezer.  we have flashlightes, candles, batteries, radio.

everybody should at least have the ability to last 3 days, with no electricity.

you are right though, many things that we have today are because of war, they were made out of neccessity, like the Jeep, if it werent for WW1 there wouldnt be any wranglers around today.

no, actually the jeep was built for WW1, it was a Bantam design, built by Ford and Willys.   they built it close to the end of the war, never saw service in WW1, but used all the way through WW2.   im a jeep fanatic, i know these things.

technology is good in my opinion

i saw some thing on tv were a blind man had a device attach to his brain and it was hooked up to a camera on some sunglasses
now because of that, this poor blind man can somewhat see, he was very happy with it
(im sure he wasnt happy with the $1000 bill)

and by the way, sourbubblegum, i think the a-bomb was a worthwhile invention

if it wasnt for that, the united states would have had to invade japan in ww2, casulities were estimated to be in the hundred thousands for the americans

so its either a few hundred thousand japs, or a few hundred thousand american soldiers

if i had to go back and choose, id rather kill a bunch of japanese ppl instead of our own men

They might collide... But anyway, nutron boms are the best type of bomb to use in a earth bound conflict as they kill every living thing, but leaves all buildings, vehicles, ect... intact. poor choice for poping an asteroid.

here is Laplace. In my knowledge from other formal sources the Planets and otherasteroid from many know and unknow systems may transfer and change their track due to rotation and revolutions circlely or elliptically or in some other geometically path according to the law of motions due to inter force attractions between bodies.THats astrology of our science from past to modren times

Uhh any of you guys ever see the jetsons? All Jeorge Jetson did all day was push a button. And all of you have always thougt how cool it would be to live in the jetson time. We gotta keep goin if we want: flying cars, moving sidewalks, tv phones, robot maids, houses in the sky, and lastly machines that make your breakfast pop out after pushing a few buttons.

Actualli i feel tat overall technology has done us more good than harm. Its just because sum pple misuse the technology enabling it to become harmful weapons of destruction. And how broad the caregory do u define technology? Modern technology or technology? Even inventing the wheel few thousand years ago is part of technology. So dun u tink tat technology is important and useful? It also makes our life easier. But the tink the worries me n is mention in 1 of the previous post is the dependency of humans on technology. We sae we can control the use of technology, but the control is definitely limited.

technology is definitely good for us
it becomes bad when we make it bad
hence technology getting bad is man made
it is man who should use technology for good purposes and he should undertsnad it
