There were a number of media organizations that went in after the fact and I read the ironic thing is, if what Gore was wanting, a recount of 3 democratic counties, had happened he would've lost.  If what Bush wanted, recount the whole state, Bush would've lost.
When looking at states won and lost, I keep coming back to Tennessee.  How does a life long politician from Tennessee lose his own state?  Florida would've been a none issue if Gore won Tennessee.   Those people should know Gore the best and they didn't vote for him, what does that say?

Dick Armey recently referred to the progressive tax structure as "immoral" - I always think it is funny when Christian conservatives call God "immoral"

Or, at least that is what he is doing indirectly. The Old Testament's "tithe" system was only the start of the jewish theocratic tax system. God also demanded that the wealthiest (large land owners) leave 1/10 of their land unharvested. If you do the math, this gives the wealthiest a 19% tax while the poor poeple who glean from these fields an income break, reducing their total cost-burden and thus, a less than 10% tax.

This was only the start of it though, as some biblical scholars claim that the 1/10 was of total wealth, not just income - so it was essentially compounded. Additionally, every 7 years debts were relieved and every Jubilee lands were returned to original familial ownership.

It seems to me that God was pretty progressive when it came to taxation. So, Dick, was God immoral?
