The damn liberals want the government to pay for college, health care, and stuff like that.  The only problem is where they're gonna get the money.  Where do they always get money?  From taxes!  Where else?!

so people from all walks of life are better educated, and better cared for, so they get better jobs, so they earn more money, so they pay more taxes when it is their turn to support the upcoming generation.

How is this a bad thing? It gives everyone equal opportunities, and does not take from anyone in an unrepresentative manner. It's only bad in that it doesn't benefit you, specifically, but it will benefit your children, and will benefit the country as a whole*.

*if managed well

Well, now you know. Not limitless taxes, but what is necessary.
If the government took no taxes, would the country be better off, or worse? Not just the rich areas, but the poor ones where they can't pay for their own maintenance...

While taxes are necessary to maintain any form of government governing a group larger than several hundred, it is necessary to use that money in  Pertinate an things only, national defense would be an example of this. However our government throws money in every direction possible.

Each example of an issue to spend taxmoney on needs to be individually assessed and the question asked: is the cost to the populace through taxes outweighed by the the gains of the populace through services?

In many cases, the answer is no: often because of mismanaging money that could have been better spent. But in the cases of education and healthcare, the answer is mainly yes

And we must not forget that we are in dept. Before we spend more money on new programs we need to have that money in the first place.

And most of those don't even matter. Total pork spending is pretty minuscule compared to military spending.

The biggies we need to worry about are Social Security and Medicare/Aid. Debt as well. The fed services over $400 billion annually in interest.

military spending is still less than medicare and social security. you can thank military spending to not having to speak Russian. However I do agree with you, if you want to have your shiny new F22s than you first have to have the money. if more Americans lived like that than fewer would be in dept. buy your cars in cash, not financing.
