isnt it ironic that the taxes we now pay are more by about 3 or 4 times that the colonists payed before the revolutionary war??? is the government trying to steer away the fact that, as a nation we dislike heavy taxes that we are under iht now, and when we were still colonists, there was never a tax on marriage, and there was never a tax on education! have we americans really begun to let our government heavily tax us, mutter under our breath and then pay them without a word more??!!!

the american revolution was against taxation without representation so just go vote for Libertarian party or run for office yourself and stop complaining.
There is no such thing as a marriage tax or an education tax. If a single person makes $40,000 they pay 27% tax rate, if a married person makes $40,000 they pay 14% tax rate!
Besides I've stopped respecting any debate that talks about taxes that does not also mention government spending---- cut billions out of the defense, or social security, or medicare, or education, or highways then we can keep returning the surplus to taxpayers--- by emotionally demanding tax cuts first and hoping government spending will magically decline someday is just childish

Please take the time to read this post, as I've taken the time to write it. And I'm sure if you're sane you couldn't possibly disagree with me ;)

Exxoss,
I may be new to this bulletin board, and only read perhaps thirty of your posts - but I have not read a single quasi-intelligent thing from you.

Would you care to fill me in on your age? Obviously you have not researched communism very thoroughly, I don't think there is a single well educated person that will argue pro-communism unless of course it's an organised debate.

Please don't confuse communism and socialism - at least socialism can be argued, not well but it can be argued. This whole generation of left winged people is just promoting hate toward those that have sincerely worked hard, came up with brilliant inventions and ideas etc.

Has anyone heard of “Tall poppy syndrome” which refers to the behavioural trait of people to cut down those who are 'superior' to them. It is used to explain why most politicians, some academics, and the occasional millionaire, commands a level of community admiration inferior to that of a toilet cleaner This is an increasing problem, and things like “Socialism movements” have really started a ‘bush fire’.
Please take care when arguing the merits of communism (or this case, spamming) please do take care not to put down people that have achieved more than you (superior).
If it’s so easy to be a millionaire – why aren’t you one? And please don’t give me the crap about “Children of rich parents will be rich, and Children of poor people will be poor”. As this is one of the most believed lie that people try use.

I might live off a shoe string budget, but I’m sober enough to realise that – pushing papers across my desk all day long shouldn’t reap the same benefits of the man that devoted his life to developing Microsoft, or the man who was smart enough to develop the electric light. Do you agree with me?

Can you honestly say, ‘the cardiologist who works 100 hour weeks and has spent a good 8 years studying doesn’t deserve more rewards, and recognition than the man who is a part time cleaner’? Not to mention the eight to ten years the cardiologist spent studying, practising and perfecting.

Socialism was built upon the flawed assumption that everyone will be content being poor and exploited if their neighbour is, also “one will put the state’s needs in front of their own” and the stupidest and yet most controversial “Everyone is equal”.

While capitalism was based on facts such as “People will try to good for themselves and friends…so we can institute a tax which will provide them with things like defence” etc.

I believe everyone should have freedom to get recognition, to help society, and then reap some of the benefits. If that’s what we so loosely define at capitalism, call me a capitalist. By know means capitalism is perfect, but it sure beats the alternative.

starting out from rich families generally have a lot more time and money to put towards future planning, whereas those from a poor background are often busy helping out around the house often by getting a menial job(all that they can) to help pay rent/food etc. before you say anything stupid like it's a baseless argument, howabout looking at the success of people from different backgrounds, i think you'll find a definate link. don't even try and say anything as stupid as 'they have the gene's for success' (no i do not categorise you as one quite that stupid, but i've heard stupidity like that before)

"I might live off a shoe string budget, but I’m sober enough to realise that – pushing papers across my desk all day long shouldn’t reap the same benefits of the man that devoted his life to developing Microsoft, or the man who was smart enough to develop the electric light. Do you agree with me?"

howabout the man who can't afford a proper education, who study's hard all through school to get a scolarship, then misses out, and is unable to get anything but a menial job, or the man who  is too busy working two maybe three jobs to support his family. do they work any less hard? do they deserve only what they get?

"Socialism was built upon the flawed assumption that everyone will be content being poor and exploited if their neighbour is,"
i think you'll find over half the nation's wealth is owned by less than 20% of the nation, do you really think a developed country does not have sufficient resources to comfortably support all it's citizens? your views seem built upon the false assumtion of 'it's ok if people are poor and exploited, as long as it's not me'

'“one will put the state’s needs in front of their own”'
people pay taxes don't they?

and the stupidest and yet most controversial “Everyone is equal”.
i'm sorry, i fogot how superiour you are.

oh, and why ask people their age, i'd like to know how much research you've done into your arguments.

i spent five minutes thinking and all i got was this crappy signature.
