one thing i've notice a lot lately is the overwhelming exposure of the gay lifestyle on television...but there seems to be a group missing...  lesbians.  and not just lesbians, but the "masculine" gay male.

why is this?  here is my only guess...

people think it's entertaining to see a guy prancing around like an excited college girl does.  not to get TOO stereotypical, but i doubt you'll see a Queer Eye for the Straight Girl anytime soon.  who wants to see a group of women having a girl go from a sun-dress to a closet full of plaid button ups?

from my own personal observation, "hot lesbians" are either just really mad at men and relationships or are bisexual and mainly do it for attention.  we see bisexuals all the time on Girls Gone Wild commercials.

we don't wanna see manly gay men because that's just odd...  two big men standing around and then hugging on one another.  just not "entertaining".  but send a guy who is feminine and prances around praising your color scheme in the living room is.

i think a lot of the gay lifestyle is just that...a lifestyle.

Well, you're wrong.  (Suprised, right?)

It's in no way a lifestyle.  That's just a coined phrase used to infer that it's a choice.

You're treatment of lesbian or bisexual women sounds like you've had a bad experience with them.

Make no mistake, people are born gay, straight or bisexual.  None of those are lifestyles, they are sexual orientation's.  They can and do affect you're life-style, but everyone's lifestyle is different no matter which orientation they are born with.

As for what's entertaining on T.V.

I find queer eye for the straight guy, boring.  Why would I (A gay man) want to watch 4 queens dress up a straight man so he can propose to his female wife?  Especially considering the debate America is having on gay marriage.  The show to me, only seems to be interesting to heterosexual woman.  Everyone has their own opinion, and I'm sure having "prissy" gay men is much more entertaining than say.. Andrew Sullivan.  However, Sullivan is smarter!

Okay, that's my diatribe.
