I for one agree with the fact that gays should have equal rights as us. However, most us when we come to marriage, we just stop dead cold. It is because gay marriage is a misunderstood issue today. Today I will counter any statement that will try to "legalize" gay marriage. There is no way that any statement is true or valid enough to have gay marriage legalized because I've done research and I've found all the arguments are all invalid.

Christianity looks into their bibles for answers and they've found a statement. It said that gay marriage was a sin. However, the Treaty of Tripoli stated since America was not of Christian origin, the Christian law would not be part of our law. Also the First Amendment stated that there would be seperation from Church and the state.

I've heard of some ppl talking about that marriage is about a relationship between a man and a woman. However who says what marriage really is? Even if this statement is valid what sort of other argument do u have to back up this statement? I mean if you can't back up this statement you don't have an argument at all. This argument is only trying to deny the rights for gay people. Without another proper and more threatening argument this statement has no reason to even exist. Sounds like prejudice to me.

The institution of marriage has gone down hill with opposite-sex couples, families don't stick together like they did years ago. I have seen many loving gay couples together. They deserve an equal right to legally marry someone. Marriage is suppose to be a commitment between two people that love and honour each other. It should not matter what sex they are. People that are against it, have never been around gay people. They have a fear of the unknown, are close minded and afraid of change.
