you know i just moved to Oklahoma from GA and i think it s weird and pointless but the main topic of debate fro the governorship here is cock fighting...seriously. You should see the commercials about chickens and stuff it is hilarious....i hope largent wins here bc i never knew cock fighting was legal here but now i wann go watch them and place bets...it is a 10 million dollar industry here and apparently people from the phillipines pay around 5000 dollars for a chicken from here if it has good blood lines....the liberals are complaining that it is inhumnae to dope up chickens and attach sharp blades to there spurs and watch them bash each other to death...i think its funny bc chickens are very dumb animals and arent even aware of their own existence thus they are not defined as animals but rather fowl.

Dsadevil, looks like the rebuplicans got the senate too. I might be wrong, but the democrats would have to be extremely lucky at this point to stop the senate from changing hands. You had some good picks though.

I'm not old enough to vote, but I still have been following this very closely.

Oy!

Quote from Trent Lott (R-MS) on priorities now that senate control has been returned to republican control

"We need to have a budget, to begin with. We need pension reform, welfare reform. We need to do more in education," he said. "Let's quit talking about doing something for low-income elderly that need prescription drugs [my emphasis added]. Let's look at what we can do to target some tax cuts that would help the economy. Let's have fiscal restraint."
