I recalled another YEC expert on all things that I once 'debated' on CARM.

Perhaps it becomes more clear why I am sometimes short with creationists...

Their tomfoolery and hubris grates on the nerves...

While concepts from Information Theory are relevant to genetics (in general), they cannot be applied directly for IT deals with analog and digital communication.
Question #1. Then please demonstrate how IT is relevant to genetics in general as you have stated above.
Nah. I was being generous.
To get out of demonstrating how IT is even relevant to genetics in a general sense.
I granted that it was. I'm not sure why you would demand that I demonstrate this when you assert the same and more.
That was hilarious.

-Jesus walked on water.
-While it was true that there was water nearby...
-Prove it!

Haha! They're not very good at being skeptic. It's the lack of practice.

Or perhaps, knowing that they can't support their claims, they have to rely on smart people to do it for them.

Did you notice that he never even attempted to tell me what the sender/receiver/etc. are in molecular biology.

YECs are pretty good at putting up smoke screens and making confident sounding proclamations, but if you try to go below their very thin veneer of apparent knowledge, you get accusations, insults and dodges.

Just like on here.

I did notice. I think he even expected YOU to do it for him at some point.

I mean here:

derwoodI don’t know what is meant by ‘directly compatible.’ Perhaps after you can explain to my satisfaction which parts of the genome/cellular systems are represented by things like “information source” and “noise source” and “destination” and what the “message” is, then perhaps we can make headway. Until then, all I see is posturing.
All I see is equivocation and semantic dodging. You're supposed to be the expert here. So why stall when you can correct?
Is that what he was doing? He wanted YOU to demonstrate his claim again, right?

We often see them relying on smart people to demonstrate (at least in their minds) their own claims. But during an argument? From your opponent?

Perhaps it doesn't even qualify as shamelessness. He just didn't seem to know what he was doing.

I posted this in CARM (only that i couldn't post the image since i haven't posted 100 times):

Ok, this is what i see from what has been stated:

And i too am being generous.

And with all the generosity in the world that is still unimpressive and irrelevant.

Paulomycin, not being able to define one's own terms basically means not knowing what one's talking about.

Not being able to precise what one's asking from someone (what would qualify as "increase of information" according to you?) basically means not knowing what one's asking about.

Not presenting a correlation between elements from IT and elements from Genetics basically means you've not supported your claim (that the IT can be applied to Genetics).

Telling your opponent that HE should support your own claims seems incredibly silly.

Claiming victory after all of that basically means you're seriously deluded.
