Ok so i pretty much belive we all evolved from micro-organisms wich where brought to earth by an ice metor or what ever. we evolved into tiny "things" living in the sea then into fish then into mamals such as whale like creatures then left the sea got legs ect. and evolved into primates then walked upright and eventualy became what we are today. i also belive our brains evolved dramaticly. before thousands of years ago the world changed around the creatures living on it. now where changing the world around us.

ok heres my quistion i was thinking earlier. and is it possible deep deep inside of our DNA strands is all the past evolution say if we where a sea mamal and had gills. but we dnt need them now so its useless so its stored there all our past information but just dormant. could that be possible? and if so could we ever use it again.
example. scientists discover we where once millions of years ago aracnids and they find out how to re-open that gene then do some stuff to it and hay presso a hundred years from now. if a human chops off a finger or leg is crushed and has to be amputated. within a few years itl have grown back completly. just like say a spider.

I don't think every past gene is stored in the DNA. The genes mutate, and therefor don't exist after a change (i.e. gills to lungs). But from what little I know about DNA research, there is a lot of "junk" DNA that doesn't seem to have a role in our genetic process. Maybe there is some past information stored there that we haven't been able to read yet??
