Swedish spruce may be world's oldest living tree

Global warming is letting these ancient trees pop up and be discovered.

Pogge:” This is the volume of a sphere with a 62 kilometer (about 39 miles) radius, which is considerably smaller than the 2,000 mile radius of the Earth.”
Wikipedia:” For Earth, the mean radius is 6,371.009 km(≈3,958.761 mi; ≈3,440.069 nmi).”
Wisp to Lester (on Pogge): Do you admit he was wrong about the basics?
Lester: No

Seems rather...mundane. We have pottery that's over 10,000 years old. We have writings from China that are over 8,000 years old.

What is more interesting is if there is any evidence to suggest the world is 6,000 years old. There are literally mountains (yes I actually mean the geological feature) that support a very old planet. What's there to suggest otherwise?

Cute argument.  But in case your mind isn't intelligent enough to figure this out, there's a very big time gap between Genisis 1:1 and 1:2.  We can presume that this is where your tree started to grow, and when the dinousaurs walked the earth.

I like Swedish women.

Care to address why there are no Swedish Spruces found in any layers even remotely close to those containing dinosaur fossils?

But the world is only 6,000 years old, according to YECS...

That is a lie made up by people who want to believe in the Bible and evolution at the same time. Not possible. A time gap DOES NOT exist.

So... how do you explain the old trees, without resorting to Omphalos?

Well, the earth doesn't HAVE to be exactly 6,000 years old. It could be anywhere up to 12,000 years.

Plus, dating trees by their rings is obscured because they grow a different number of rings per year depending on the weather.

And you think botanists don't know this?  When dating by tree rings, the experts know what they're doing, do you have any evidence that they are wrong?  Any evidence at all?

Not at all. You are falsely trying to argue that only one interpretation of Genesis is correct without any evidence whatsoever. The term day is vague and ambiguous. Furthermore, I've already explained to you WHY God wouldn't bother to give the real details. You pretend that part of my post didn't exist. Why is that your beliefs are so fundamentally insecure you deliberately pretend things that cause you to rethink your belief systems don't exist?

Only literal genesis has a problem with evolution. Metaphorical Genesis doesn't.

[b]Stop fallaciously trying to argue only one interpretation exists
