I run into this everywhere and its always senseless and useless. The argument only exists for those who don't understand science or religion well enough to understand how they fit together. The literalists
and the dogmatists are insane. They drown out the real truth or the real conversation. There is no reason why creationism can't be sustained by god using evolution as one tool in the tool box. Any esoteric understanding of the Tanakh shows that any argument against this is based in a flawed interpretation of the document. For instance, the definition of one of gods "Days" is initially just a period of light and darkness which is also then said to be equal to a thousand years. Given that this is so,
the claim that yahweh says the universe is only 6000 years old is ludicrous and based on a modern
revisionist literalist re-interpretation of the text. In all actuality, you'd have to multiply human years by gods days to come up with a much larger non allegory number.

When viewed from the quantum perspective "Genesis" reads very much like the big bang theory. End of argument.

The only people who think that there is an argument are clueless about the very paradigms which they
think that they are champions of.

Even if days is supost to mean thousands of years it doesn't matter. The universe was not created like that and not in even periods.

It as only a microsecond befor most of the atoms we see today were created. It was then over 200,000 million years before the first stars formed (may I also add that their creation has been explained and proven by physics). It was then almost 8 billion years before our planet formed and another  1 and a half billion years before life formed.

Humans have only existed for a microscopic amount of time in the universe.
