Does the relative small amount of moon dust support a young earth?

of course the amount of moon dust supports a young earth. there is only 3 inches of dust on the moon, which concludes that the moon is only about 8000 years old. evolutionists were shocked when they found out that it was only 3 inches, they were expecting dust measuring miles deep. once again, the evolutionist is proved wrong.

It boils down to who you believe, I guess. I personally think the creation side has much more to lose than the evolution side, and is therefore much more likely to lie.

Lie? Who's lying? The Institute for Creation Research even states that moon dust is not an good argument to use as evidence of a young earth! They say that here:

About moon dust.

"Should creationists then continue to use the moon dust as apparent evidence for a young moon, earth and solar system? Clearly, the answer is no. The weight of the evidence as it currently exists shows no inconsistency within the evolutionists' case, so the burden of proof is squarely on creationists if they want to argue that based on the meteoritic dust the moon is young."

Doesn't sound like a lie to me!!!

There is an article on the ICR's own website that cites the moon dust as evidence against evolution. Browse any creationist site and notice that most will have the argument, despite the fact that Henrey Morris no longer stands by it.

The moon has no atmosphere, hence, meteorites and other debris does not burn up.  Even a tiny rock (travelling at hundreds or thousands of miles per hour) can create a crater, causing a shockwave, and hence launching tons and tons of rock and yes, DUST off into space.  The moon has been hit by millions of these pieces of debris, so dust cannot settle for very long.
Sorry, Jesus.  :D

This is a fairly insidious distortion and proves that creationists don't even read National Geographic

LOL. Sorry, that's just funny. Because we "don't even read Nation Geographic" which is oh just so obviously always right about everything it covers, we're just a load of morons. Pardon me, I just had to have a laugh at that...

ok i was searching around for a report and i came across this forum, so i figured id add something in just for the hell of it. how can you say that the moon supports a "young" earth the last time i checked the moon is not part of the earth and it has never been proven by either evolution or creation that the moon was made the same time as earth, now i dont believe in the whole man came from ape thing but i also hardcore dont believe in god and i dont think that the moon holds any proof to proving either one.  my posting name is also my im if anyone wants to talk to me more about this.
