When I first started posting on this board I thought that this would be a nice place to have intelligent conversations about things.
I have spent hours answering each and every question, query, concern and conundrum that has been presented to me.  Lately those concerns have degenerated into the "liar, liar" defense.  This defense is nice, because you give your opponent no concrete position to defend against.  You've called him a liar and obviously everyone else can see how intelligent you are and that he can't answer you (of course he cant, you haven't actually said anything).  Recently I answered a 25 concern post from Demon.  If I had answered "That's hogwash!" he would've stated that I obviously couldn't defend my position.  I didn't do this, I answered all 25 of his concerns.  His answer, in a nutshell, was "that's hogwash!".  This only leaves me with the option of repeating myself or ignoring him (which I'm sure he'll see as a victory for his argument, whatever that was).  I'm sure you all remember the kid in school who, when they couldn't defend a topic and didn't want to admit they were wrong, resorted to this sort of reasoning.  I've no energy for it anymore.  Perhaps you'll see me on a more adult forum with intelligent answers from people not hiding behind monickers in the future.  In the meantime, to all of you who took the time to read my posts, thank you for your time.  To all those who bothered to post erudite comments to my threads, thank you for your interest.  God grant you wisdom.

Sincerely,
  Edward Myers

I have spent hours answering each and every question, query, concern and conundrum that has been presented to me.

No you haven't, you used out of date information that has been proven untrue.  You have ignored real evidence presented to you because it invalidates your claims.  You never could explain the Kupier Belt and how it disproves your claims about "no coment could be older than 25,000 years."  So you have answered nothing.

Lately those concerns have degenerated into the "liar, liar" defense.  This defense is nice, because you give your opponent no concrete position to defend against.

Luckily I backed up every refutation I made of your claims.  This didn't stop you from continueing to twist the facts, make unjustified claims about scripture and the bible and then ignore anything you couldn't respond to.

Recently I answered a 25 concern post from Demon.  If I had answered "That's hogwash!" he would've stated that I obviously couldn't defend my position.  I didn't do this, I answered all 25 of his concerns.  His answer, in a nutshell, was "that's hogwash!".

When you claim the Jews knew about gravity because they claimed the earth hung on nothing, that IS hogwash.

This only leaves me with the option of repeating myself or ignoring him (which I'm sure he'll see as a victory for his argument, whatever that was).

If you can't refute the evidence, then step aside.  My point has always been science is incredibly accurate, the Bible, when it speaks of science is not.  Evolution is an observed fact best explained by the theory of evolution.  The earth is 4.5 billion years old, the universe is about 15 billion years old and all life has evolved from a common ancestor.  You have presented no credible evidence to refute any of these points.

I'm sure you all remember the kid in school who, when they couldn't defend a topic and didn't want to admit they were wrong, resorted to this sort of reasoning.

You're the guy who's using 3000 year old myths as the basis for your claims.  And we can all remember the kid in grade school who's only defense of a topic was "my dad told me that, so it has to be true!"  You claim that almost all of modern science is wrong because the bible tells you so.

I've no energy for it anymore.  Perhaps you'll see me on a more adult forum with intelligent answers from people not hiding behind monickers in the future.

In other words, you can't refute the evidence.
The discussion on Archaeopteryx is a perfect example.  You made claims that just weren't ture, so I posted information that refuted them.  I am willing to listen to your counter claims and then respond to them.  But you can't be bothered.  When the errors in your sources are exposed, you cut and run.  When you tried to use Olson and Chatterjee to bolster your claims, I pointed out that while both of those scientists doubt dinosaur to bird evolution (and they're in the minority), they DO
accept reptile to bird evolution.  What's your response, " I've no energy for it anymore."
You cut and run again.

In the meantime, to all of you who took the time to read my posts, thank you for your time.  To all those who bothered to post erudite

You're welcome.

Not that I'm necessarily justified in doing so, but I fired off an email to your Hotmail account, Demon38, with what I hope you'll find to be some very relevant tips on how to debate a tad more courteously.
