If people evolved from monkeys, did some monkeys choose not to evolve?

When you were born did all of your cousins die?

-------
Pogge:” This is the volume of a sphere with a 62 kilometer (about 39 miles) radius, which is considerably smaller than the 2,000 mile radius of the Earth.”
Wikipedia:” For Earth, the mean radius is 6,371.009 km(≈3,958.761 mi; ≈3,440.069 nmi).”
Wisp to Lester (on Pogge): Do you admit he was wrong about the basics?
Lester: No

So if evolution is "survival of the fittest" why would some monkeys evolve, and some stay the same for millions of years?

They were in different niches.

You are not really serious about the "evolved from monkeys" statement, are you?

Good point, Moose. It's been so long since I've encountered this PRATT--about 9 months, I think--that I forgot it's wrong on the most fundamental basis possible.

Which is correct, but I would add the monkeys didn't stay the same for millions of years, they also evolved.

I would add, as Moose hinted at already, that the Theory of Evolution isn't sayin we evolved from monkeys to begin with.
