All things dull and ugly,
All creatures short and squat,
All things rude and nasty,
The Lord God made the lot.

Each little snake that poisons,
Each little wasp that stings,
He made their brutish venom.
He made their horrid wings.

All things sick and cancerous,
All evil great and small,
All things foul and dangerous,
The Lord God made them all.

Each nasty little hornet,
Each beastly little squid--
Who made the spikey urchin?
Who made the sharks? He did!

All things scabbed and ulcerous,
All pox both great and small,
Putrid, foul and gangrenous,
The Lord God made them all.

I'm on your side, but you should know that fits directly with the fable of Adam and Eve.

Yeah, I know. Doesn't fit too well with the rubbish on the kids4truth site in the original post, though. They conveniently left that bit out. Maybe the "truth 4 kids" about Satan is a bit too scary? They only get to find out about him later when they're told how sinful they are. "Yes, the world has some horrid, nasty things in it - AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!"

More seriously, I've stopped even bothering about the real fruitcake literalists, with their Original Sin, 24-7 Creation job and fallen Earth that's only a few thousand years old. You're never going to get any of them to think about this for themselves any more than they have done already. It's not worth entering into discussion at all with them; they're just nuts.

It's the uncertain people who think there just may be something in Creationism worth thinking about who need the bubble bursting with a few well aimed humorous posts, like the one I adapted earlier.

Original Sin is a Catholic Invention.  (At least the idea that we are all sinners because of Adam's transgression)  Nobody else believes in it.

A long time ago there was nothing but dust
No metals to rust no cherry pie crust

A great maker decided that this was not right
There must be some sunshine to fill up the night

It soon became evident that to enjoy the sun
The maker needed creatures to make the light fun

So this great maker with all of his †power
Made billions of creatures to fill up his hours

All of these creatures were perfect it is said
Yet the designs were flawed as they allowed the creatures to be misled

If this was not enough, when the designer was finished
He felt a need to see his creatures punished

Time would pass and the the designs were still duds
So the maker killed most of his creatures with a catastrophic flood

Years passed again and the maker still mourned over his mistake
So he came down to earth and nailed himself to a stake

Before you complain and before you holler
Please give the church some more of your dollars

Phew, that's a relief....

Spread the Good Word! Hallelujah! News just in - we're all innocent after all. Please be sure to let St. Peter know, just to avoid embarrassment.

What a pity that the whole of Creation is suffering from the results of "the fall" when it was all that silly woman's fault (Eve, surely? Not Adam) and nothing to do with us. Bit of a bummer for the sick and diseased amongst us, eh?

Well, my biggest problem with the whole idea is that it doesn't touch anything about evolution. It's an understandable argument against Abiogenesis, at least, but it doesn't "show the lunacy of the Theory of Evolution," as the website claims.

Sorry, hadn't actually checked out the entire website.  Someone had e-mailed me the little watchmaker snippet, so that's all I've seen.

The amazing thing is that they branzenly resort to the old Watchmaker fallacy.  It has been proven many times over to be a fallacious argument and yet here the Creationists are, shamefully using it to 'prove' their point.  Is there no limit?

I'm sorry, from an abiogenesis point of view, how was the argument fallacious?

Read Richard Dawkins' The Blind Watchmaker or watch the digested video presented by himself

In parts:

Richard Dawkins - The Blind Watchmaker 1

Life is not intelligently designed. Itís not designed at all. Itís the result of slow change over long periods of time and this has been demonstrated over and over again. The theory is more plausible than God. Based on the Blind Watchmaker.

Richard Dawkins - The Blind Watchmaker 2

Why evolution is not at all random.

Richard Dawkins - The Blind Watchmaker 3

The illusion of Intelligent Design is misleading.
Richard Dawkins - The Blind Watchmaker4

How natural selection accounts for the complexity of the eye.

Richard Dawkins - The Blind Watchmaker4

How natural selection accounts for the complexity of the eye.

I have as of yet to see some one try to prove that a whatch came about do to natural selection and arose from nothingness by its self. If this ever happens I will be the first to convert over to Evolutionism.

"Evolutionism" is not an ideal; evolutio is a process of life. Subscribing to "Evolutionism" would be like subscribing to "Gravitationalism" and "Electromagnetism...ism".

The Theory of Evolution has nothing to do with the emergence of life, either. That's all under the Hypothesis of Abiogenesis.
