The case is: Lawrence and Garner v. Texas (No. 02-102).

These two men were caught having sex and acording to Texas state law that is illegal. It is going to the supreme court and will be ruled on around the new year. What do you think?

The case and Bowers v. Hardwick will probably be overturned. Read Justice Blackmun's dissent in Bowers to find out why.

Isn't  it simply silly to  ban having any type of sex? How are you supposed to enforce those? They're laws that are made to be broken. Last time I saw those laws was in Atlas Shrugged (by Ayn Rand), and that was when the nation was falling apart

I think it's scary that the government is so involved in our lives that they control our sex lives. This is so wrong I can't even see straight after reading this post.

sick horrible and disgusting are only a few words that I can think of to describe what those men did.  It is absolutly wrong and totally contradicts what the bible says.  But the government in that case has steped out of bounds.  And has no right to do that if it was in a private setting.

What the bible says should have no hold on the law. What they did was what they wanted to do, it doesn't concern anyone else. Leave them to do what they want to do, its not harming anyone.

Why should we bow to the will of anyone? Especialy a man who our country but another voted for?

exactly, the government has stepped out of their constitutional boundaries and the people's rights. However, the Bible should not come into mention here because there is a separation of church and state. If we were to govern ourselves through the bible, we'd be stoning half the town for crimes against god. The puritans did it...

I find it idiotic that there are still obsolete laws written down and still in the books corcerning consensual sex (gay or otherwise). It's time to get the US and every other country out of the Middle Ages and respect everybody's rights. This is essential for world peace and not to destroy ourselves.
