Free luches may be helpful to those in need, but, is it being misused? At times, kids with reduced or free lunch have been known to get lunch for their friends as well as themselves. Is this fair to people paying the taxes which pays for their food? No! They're taking advantage of the program! Shouldn't there be a limit on how much food they can purchase in a day? Say, for example, the most they can spend per day is $4, or something like that. Wouldn't that be a little more fair to people who pay for their own food?

There is a limit, or at least was at my school.

Hardly enough food. While on it I starved everyday.

the whole point is greed.  the administrations want money so they spend less on food.  but I also agree that the discounted food plans are being missused.  what would help both points would be to have companies run the lunch programs you can choose what store to buy from.  these coumpanies will also be making a large proffit so they can pay the schools to remain opperating in these locations.

I am a high school student and our school has come up with a solution to the problem.  Instead of getting free lunch all the time.  The first lunch you buy is free, no strings attached however the second one you buy ends up costing double the normal lunch price.  The third costs tripple what one regular one costs.  In this case we can't go buy free lunch for our friends because it is impossible to spend less money for more lunch.  The downside is we need extra money to pay for that extra lunch.  So in conclusion, it solves the free food problem by giving the poor free lunch and keeping the rich from exploiting this benifet.
