In Australia we have school uniforms. I cant really see life with out them. It the juding we have free dress days and thats a bitch fest. Yes i do know that i have never gone to school with out uniforms but really its a cheeper way and more unity. THen again the money spent on uniforms or those high fashion cloths could always be spent on improving education. Right?

here in the Philippines, most primary and secondary schools have uniforms and i don't see anything wrong with that. it's actually a way of giving the students equality when it comes to looks. i mean rich students will not have the chance to brag their clothes to those who have less because they are wearing the same style. only that i have observe that labels are being put on students because of their uniforms. there has been a  huge division among public and private students because one can easily recognize the school from which students are from and that is one disadvantage of having uniforms.

but i guess that couldn't really be prevented because of the fact that there are really diffent social status. but what the heck, why should we think of uniforms rather than the quality of education students get?

School uniforms are not neccesary.  If kids don't want to wear them, why force them to?

I think a simple dress code works fine. the one at my school is something like this: no jeans, no T Shirts, no hats, no large hooped earrings, and no stomach showing.

WOW no jeans or T Shirts i think that is a little harsh. In my school we can't show our shoulders, or bellies. We can not were baggy clothes or hats. We can not wear spaghetti straps or anything like that. We have to have our shorts go to mid thigh at least.

I never had any problems with my dress code. I always wear camo pants all the time regardless of the weather. I also almost always were a camo shirt or a one tone green shirt. and since i don't actually own a pair of jeans not wearing jeans wasn't a problem.

I think that the reason why jeans weren't allowed was because teens seem to have this desire to wear jeans that are too tight or have artificial holes in them.
