|Violence on TV is becoming a big problem in today's society. Many children try to imitate the fighting they see on television and end up hurting themselves or others.
A few years ago, two young children were pretending to be Power Rangers and hurt another child so badly that she died from her injuries. Isn't there a way we can make it stop??
Everywhere you look there's violence being shown to young children. Even the classics like Bugs Bunny have violence- bombs, guns, rockets, knives, anvils... Even though the cartoon characters never die, and even though it can be funny, and usually is, isn't this giving children the wrong idea? No matter what you see on the TV, you won't spring back to life after getting hurt. It seems as though some kids belive that you can spring back into full health in seconds. I'm not suggesting that they make it more realistic, with a visit to the hospital and a couple of funerals and reincarnations for the Wylie E. Coyote, and yet...how can we show kids that's not true?!?!?!?
It's really sad that kids get hurt because of a TV show. It just seems really irresponsible of the media system.
Are you suggesting coconuts migrate? :p
