I would like you to read a short note of one of your fellow citizens, and it seems to me that it is uniquely addressed to you. If you are unable to visualize an Iraqi mother returning home to find that a bomb has been dropped on her home and inside she finds the remains of her children splattered all over the wall then you have no moral ground to support this war in any way shape or form. My son a firefighter was recently discharged from a six week stay in a burn unit. Jis injuries were relatively minor as far as burns go, third degree on half of one leg 2nd on the other. For him the pain was almost overwhelming. If you have a choice between a burn or gunshot wound, take the gunshot its relatively minor pain wise. Now take my sons injuries and apply them to Iraqi children who will receive say 3rd degree burns over half their body. That's almost fatal but survivable with say the care you could get at a major burn unit like Brook Army Medical Center, but of course no such facility exists in Iraq, and drugs will be unavailable. Now sit next to the bed of that child who will have to endure pain beyond your ability to comprehend. Perhaps if there is a merciful god their little hearts will be overwhelmed and stop, but perhaps not. Look at the terror in their eyes the confusion and longing as they look to you for help, and your heart is breaking, you cannot cry because you would be overwhelmed with grief. You cannot even hug your dear sweet child as his or her little life ebbs away, and then come to me and explain why this war is justified and what reasons that child had to die. Do not offer me the lame excuses of that spoiled little coward frat boy that is in the White House. Give me some reasons that Jesus Christ would condone such a horror. We all hear about how " religious" the Bush administration is and their sanctimonious WOWED. Indeed WOWED? The scapegoating of Sadam as " Hitler like" is a two edged sword.
George Bush wields power but has no understanding of strength and courage, he is in short a coward and a bully, but that is not new news. You get in the cart with that madman, not I.

now hum it gently, my friend:

> If you cannot find Osama, bomb Iraq.
> If the markets are a drama, bomb Iraq.
> If the terrorists are frisky,
> Pakistan is looking shifty,
> North Korea is too risky,
> Bomb Iraq.
>
> If we have no allies with us, bomb Iraq.
> If we think that someone's dissed us, bomb Iraq.
> So to hell with the inspections,
> Let's look tough for the elections,
> Close your mind and take directions,
> Bomb Iraq.
>
> It's pre-emptive non-aggression, bomb Iraq.
> To prevent this mass destruction, bomb Iraq.
> They've got weapons we can't see,
> And that's all the proof we need,
> If they're not there, they must be there,
> Bomb Iraq.
>
> If you never were elected, bomb Iraq.
> If your mood is quite dejected, bomb Iraq.
> If you think Saddam's gone mad,
> With the weapons that he had,
> And he tried to kill your dad,
> Bomb Iraq.
>
> If corporate fraud is growing's, bomb Iraq.
> If your ties to it are showing's, bomb Iraq.
> If your politics are sleazy,
> And hiding that isn't easy,
> And your manhood's getting queasy,
> Bomb Iraq.
>
> Fall in line and follow orders, bomb Iraq.
> For our might knows not our borders, bomb Iraq.
> Disagree? We'll call it treason,
> Let's make war not love this season,
> Even if we have no reason,
> Bomb Iraq.

Bush is not a bully. No one likes war but we have to do what we  have to do. We have evidence that he has weapons of mass destructions. Tapes, pictures, and recordings. Plus, saddam has this nasty habit of bombing his own people and blaming it on the US. That thing about the children is VERY sad, but like I said we have to do what we have to do. Would you rather keep the children from getting hurt and letting saddam get a hold of a nuke and bomb us? or would you take the chance of hurting children and save your family? It sounds EXTREMELY cold of me to say that, but its true.

I am trying to see the jist of his song, does he want us to wait from now on to die before we attack?  I think it is stupid to wait on others to attack you before you take action.  Sept. 11 was the result of innaction on our part as was Pear Harbor we must learn from history and stop the slaying of Americans.  Perhaps "guest" would like to be the next one dead or one of his/her loved ones due to inaction.  This waiting to get hit has to stop we should have taken out our enemies long ago, it is people like "guest" that are afraid of getting their hands dirty that cause the problems that we must face today, if we do not take care of them we just pass on the problem to future generations.  During the Iran Contra hearings Oliver North was being questioned by a Senator as to why he installed an expensive security system on his home.  He said that his life and the life of his children had been threatened by a terrorist  and when asked what we should do about him Col. North said that we should go after him with everything we have that one day this terrorist would cause us a great deal of problems, the Senator was Senator Al Gore and no action was taken agaisnt the terrorist whose name Sen. Gore could hardly pronounce, Osama Bin Laden.  The time to just wait and think has passed we must protect our selves from those that would harm us, like say Iraq.

The Oliver North story is pure urban legend.  Never happened.  Check your facts and you will find that Osama  was never mentioned.  Try any site on urban legends, such as www.snopes.com and you will see the BS about North is just not true.

Of course no one would like to see their relative dead from inaction. But action requires people to see their relative dead. It is inane to say that an attack on America by Iraq was imminent. What Bush has done is take a minute possibility of attack, exagerate it to gain support for action, and attack. In the process, America has lost over 500 lives from this action and sunk even deeper into the red ink of debt.
